About the role

• AI Engineer developing AI agents and intelligent software components for a top software solutions provider in retail and hospitality. Collaborating with teams to enhance user experiences and internal processes.

Responsibilities

• Design, implementation and optimization of AI agents and intelligent software components — from concept through to go-live
• Building AI-driven tools and platforms that improve internal processes, customer experiences, or knowledge management systems
• Close collaboration with existing software development teams and business units to integrate AI components into existing applications and systems
• Evaluating and selecting appropriate frameworks, APIs, and models (e.g., LangChain, LlamaIndex, OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.) for various use cases
• Supporting architecture planning and the integration of AI solutions in cloud environments and microservice architectures
• Researching and prototyping new AI approaches (e.g., agent frameworks, LLM-based automations, data pipelines)
• Establishing AI within software development across the corporate group:
• - Building an internal network and knowledge transfer around AI technologies
• - Developing guidelines, best practices and training concepts for developer teams
• - Supporting group companies in identifying and implementing AI-based use cases
• Actively shaping the AI strategy and promoting an innovation-oriented engineering culture

Requirements

• You have 1–3 years of practical experience with modern AI technologies and are passionate about making intelligent systems usable in real business contexts, not just experimenting with them.
• Initial professional experience (1–3 years) in AI / Machine Learning / Data Engineering / Software Development
• Strong knowledge of Python and of frameworks such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, Haystack, or similar AI-agent libraries
• Very good programming skills in at least one language (e.g., .NET, JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, or C#)
• Basic understanding of software architectures and interfaces (APIs, microservices, cloud environments)
• Experience working with LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Mistral, etc.) and integrating them into existing systems
• Familiarity with API development, cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), and data pipelines
• Plus: practical experience in building AI agent platforms, e.g., for customer service, process automation, or knowledge management
