About the role
- Hydraulic Engineer managing urban and river hydraulic projects at WSP. Participate in innovative mining and industrial waste management with a dynamic team in Grenoble.
Responsibilities
- Participate in design reviews of mine tailings facilities from a water resources perspective (drainage, water storage and discharge, etc.)
- Design and sizing of hydraulic structures at all project stages (feasibility, preliminary and detailed design)
- Supervise the work of technicians and drafters assigned to the project
- Stormwater management
- Hydraulic modelling and simulation of stormwater and river flows
- Coordinate with project teams and stakeholders
- Prepare technical reports and summary documents
Requirements
- Degree in hydraulic engineering, civil engineering or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years' experience in urban and river hydraulics
- Proficiency with hydraulic modelling software (HEC‑RAS, SWMM, etc.)
- Strong knowledge of spillway design, control structures, and other hydraulic infrastructure
- Knowledge of applicable standards and regulations
- Ability to work in a team and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Availability for short-term travel (occasional site inspections and visits)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Self-motivated, rigorous and well-organized
- Fluency in English
