About the role

  • Hydraulic Engineer managing urban and river hydraulic projects at WSP. Participate in innovative mining and industrial waste management with a dynamic team in Grenoble.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in design reviews of mine tailings facilities from a water resources perspective (drainage, water storage and discharge, etc.)
  • Design and sizing of hydraulic structures at all project stages (feasibility, preliminary and detailed design)
  • Supervise the work of technicians and drafters assigned to the project
  • Stormwater management
  • Hydraulic modelling and simulation of stormwater and river flows
  • Coordinate with project teams and stakeholders
  • Prepare technical reports and summary documents

Requirements

  • Degree in hydraulic engineering, civil engineering or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in urban and river hydraulics
  • Proficiency with hydraulic modelling software (HEC‑RAS, SWMM, etc.)
  • Strong knowledge of spillway design, control structures, and other hydraulic infrastructure
  • Knowledge of applicable standards and regulations
  • Ability to work in a team and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Availability for short-term travel (occasional site inspections and visits)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-motivated, rigorous and well-organized
  • Fluency in English
