About the role
- Senior Project Manager supporting execution of major In Situ Oilsands projects in Calgary office. Hybrid opportunity with a focus on engineering and operations in Oil and Gas.
Responsibilities
- Support the execution of various projects in our Canada Projects Business Unit Calgary office, with a core focus on our In Situ Oilsands business.
- Projects may include both Greenfield and Brownfield work across the full life cycle of project stages; Studies, DBM, FEED, Detailed Design/Execution.
- Working to ensure safe, cost effective, efficient, and timely completion of projects to meet and/or exceed client expectations.
- Providing general technical support where needed.
- Providing general, technical and strategy input into selected proposals.
- Working with Wood Business Development to identify new clients and seek new opportunities.
Requirements
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in a relevant discipline, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 15 years engineering or operations experience focusing on In Situ oilsands production and processing with a significant portion of the experience in an EP/EPC/ EPCM environment, within Engineering/Procurement, Construction and/or Operations.
- ASET, APEGA, Project Management Professional (PMP), Associate in Project Management (APM) or equivalent certification.
- Thorough understanding of project management techniques and practices.
- Thorough understanding of project goals, drivers, strategies, stage gate processes, and schedules.
- Proficient in the use of MS Office 365 products.
- Significant experience and abilities with client-facing relations.
- Effective organizational skills and be able to multi-task.
- Strong track record of successful project execution.
