About the role

  • Graduate Control and Instrument Engineer working on innovative engineering solutions and gaining exposure to multiple project stages. Collaborating with experienced engineers in a technical excellence center.

Responsibilities

  • develop your core and specialised engineering skills, including control system design, instrumentation specification, and safety systems to a world-leading standard.
  • Work at a centre of technical excellence for an international company which leads and supports projects executed across Europe, Africa and the Middle East.
  • Collaborate with experienced engineers and multidisciplinary teams on complex engineering challenges.
  • Gain exposure to multiple stages of the project lifecycle, developing practical, hands on experience alongside experienced engineers.
  • Involvement in Control system design – PLC, DCS and SIS specification, control philosophies, cause & effect diagrams, and system architecture development.
  • Instrument selection, datasheets, hook ups, installation design, and commissioning support.
  • Participate in HAZOPs and SIL studies, and alarm management.
  • Control and instrumentation design for compression, transport and sequestration facilities, from concept development through to detailed engineering.
  • Adapting existing facilities and designing ambitious new projects, to produce the next generation of lower carbon fuels and chemicals.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2:1 degree to MEng level in a Control and instrument Engineering, or related discipline, which must be an accredited degree course.
  • Enthusiasm to work and develop your career in Control and Instrument Engineering.
  • Demonstrate initiative, tenacity and excellent communication skills.
  • Possess an ability to learn quickly and be adaptable and flexible to match business requirements.
  • Ability to work in multi-disciplinary team environments.
  • Must have the right to work in the UK.
