Pediatric Occupational Therapist providing evaluation and therapeutic support services for children with developmental delays. Joining Wonderland Child & Family Services' Early Support Team in a hybrid role.
Responsibilities
Assess and evaluate each child’s performance in all areas of development to determine eligibility for early support services.
Participate in the development of each child’s Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP).
Provide direct and indirect services to children with developmental delays or disabilities in their natural learning environments.
Provide support and consultation for staff, parents, and care providers utilizing a coaching model.
Monitor ongoing developmental milestones in all areas of development including hearing and vision.
Attend or conduct conferences/consultations with caregivers.
Participate as a member of the transdisciplinary team including caregivers and professional staff.
Serve as a liaison with the medical and educational community on behalf of enrolled children and their parents/caregivers.
Demonstrate a caring, nonjudgmental attitude with every family.
Attend scheduled clinical and staff meetings and be an active participant in staff related activities.
Prepare written reports and chart notes as required by WCFS.
Provide in-service trainings of staff, volunteers, and as requested by outside organizations as needed.
Support growth and outreach efforts as needed.
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Valid OT license in state of Washington.
Valid driver’s license, current insurance and reliable automobile required.
Minimum one year of direct service experience with children and families.
Knowledge of parent/caregiver coaching; experience preferred.
Able to work at a center, in a family’s home, and in a variety of community settings.
Current criminal background check maintained for all employees.
Strong organizational skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
