About the role
- Data Scientist developing predictive algorithms for Withings health products while collaborating with applied research teams. Engaging in innovative health solutions in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
- At Withings, we aim to give individuals back control of their health.
- The Machine Learning team is responsible for the development of all predictive algorithms for Withings products.
- Algorithmic research to analyze relevant data and share findings with the team
- Building prototypes by implementing the selected methods
- Implementing services on the Withings platform/products, taking resource and runtime constraints into account
- Proposing and developing new features for Withings apps and products
- Maintaining close collaboration with Applied Research and Product Development teams to understand and leverage collected data
Requirements
- Master's degree (equivalent to French Bac+5) from an engineering school or equivalent
- A PhD in a related field is highly appreciated
- Proven initial experience in Machine Learning, algorithm development applied to health data, or embedded systems is strongly valued
- Awareness of physics and/or physiology-related issues, with a strong interest in understanding the underlying phenomena in health data
- Strong computing skills: scientific computing, Python...
- Rigour, autonomy, initiative, curiosity
- Knowledge of signal processing and C/C++ is appreciated
- Excellent communication skills in French and English, both written and spoken
