Responsibilities
- Responsible for the end-to-end orchestration, advancements & stability of our production cloud
- Drive continual improvement, operational excellence & initiatives to elevate developer experience
- Accountable for service availability & uptime
- Define, plan & execute large scale initiatives such as consolidation & migration projects
- Ensure the platform & operations model scales with the technical & product roadmaps
- Lead, mentor, and grow a team of talented SRE and DevOps engineers
- Define and contribute towards Wire’s platform vision & technical strategy
Requirements
- 5-7 years of experience within a Platform Engineering Managerial position
- Essential experience in design, operation, and continuous improvement of large-scale Kubernetes environment
- Proven experience ensuring platform reliability, scalability, security, and developer productivity
- 5-7 years of experience with Hyperscalers: AWS (mandatory)
- Desirable but not essential: experience with other European cloud providers, Hybrid/multi-cloud operations
- Tooling / Tech stack: GitOps and IaC: Terraform, ArgoCD, Databases: Cassandra, PostgreSQL, Pulsar, Redis
