Responsibilities
- Responsible for leading operational excellence across all fabrication facilities, ensuring safety, compliance, and performance.
- Establishes and monitors Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and implements robust reporting to support strategic objectives and profitability.
- Formalizes Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Promote a culture of safety, ensuring compliance with OSHA and other applicable codes.
- Oversee safety programs, training, and audits to maintain a zero-incident environment.
- Standardize SOPs for fabrication processes, equipment use, and maintenance.
- Define and track KPIs for production, quality, utilization, and safety.
- Deliver monthly performance reports to senior leadership, highlighting trends and improvement opportunities.
- Implement data-driven dashboards and reporting tools for real-time operational visibility.
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting of cost centers, branch P&Ls, and regional metrics.
- Mentor regional managers, fostering accountability and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with Sales, Estimating, Detailing, and Purchasing to align operations with business goals.
Requirements
- Typically requires BS/BA in a related discipline
- Generally 9+ years of experience in a related field, including several years in a management/supervisory capacity
- Proven expertise in safety management, process standardization, and KPI-driven improvement
- Strong analytical skills with experience in reporting tools and dashboards
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities
- Strategic thinking and experience implementing enterprise-wide initiatives
- Knowledge of aSa, Oracle or similar ERP systems
- Familiarity with Lean principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
