Responsibilities
- Lead multiple IT security audit engagements, including planning, scoping, testing, and reporting
- Conduct advanced technical assessments across infrastructure, applications, cloud environments, and DevOps
- Translate technical findings into clear business risks and present them to senior leaders
- Serve as a trusted advisor to IT and business stakeholders, offering practical recommendations and guidance
- Mentor junior team members through project execution and skill development
- Apply and interpret frameworks including NIST, ISO 27001, COBIT, SOC 2, GLBA, PCI, and FERPA
- Recommend improvements to audit methodologies, tools, automation, and processes
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity, information security, computer science, information systems, or related field
- 9 years of professional IT security experience, including 4 years in internal security auditing
- Demonstrated success leading complex audit engagements and influencing positive security outcomes
- Strong technical knowledge across infrastructure, applications, and cloud platforms (AWS or Azure)
- Proficiency with audit management tools, data analytics platforms, and automated testing solutions
