About the role
- Systems Engineering Intern supporting Westinghouse’s mission for clean energy solutions through design and analysis of nuclear products/projects. Engaging in engineering design and analysis at Ontario facility.
Responsibilities
- Provide engineering design and/or analysis for nuclear products/projects including electrical system design, instrumentation and controls designs, and system wiring;
- Interfacing with other internal functional groups on similar engineering level to obtain information necessary to perform work assignments;
- Planning and scheduling work to meet assignment requirements.
- Ability to quickly learn to evaluate, select and utilize standards, techniques, procedures and criteria for development of engineering design documents including calculations and specifications.
Requirements
- Enrolled in 2nd year or recent graduate of a Nuclear engineering program at a university with a minimum GPA of 75%
- Strong mechanical/electrical aptitude and knowledge
- Knowledge of electronic equipment and computer hardware and software
- Self-motivated and highly organized
- Proficient in AutoCAD Electrical or similar software
