About the role

  • Senior Mechanical Engineer supporting design and maintenance of nuclear/non-nuclear projects. Coordinating technical teams to reduce layout conflicts and assess physical arrangements.

Responsibilities

  • Support design, fabrication, construction, and maintenance of large-scale projects
  • Technical coordination between business and technical teams
  • Reduce physical layout conflicts between commodities
  • Physical arrangement assessments of nuclear island structures, equipment, piping, commodities, and supports using multi-dimensional (3D) design software
  • Author, review and verify engineering designs and conduct in-depth reviews of 3D model and plant designs w/ WNEXUS
  • Prepare technical reports to satisfy regulatory, code, and contract requirements
  • Interface w/ engineers in different departments and global work locations to support design, fabrication, and construction organizations responding requests for information (RFI’s), identify design changes, and address deviations

Requirements

  • 4+ years' experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Structural, Architectural or Mechanical Engineering
  • 3D modeling software for physical equipment arrangements and site layout plot plans
  • Visual and spatial design skills
