About the role

  • SRO Senior Engineer developing operating procedures for control room operations and commissioning of new plants. Working with industry professionals to enhance nuclear operations expertise in a hybrid role.

Responsibilities

  • Acquire knowledge about writing operating procedures to define the way control room operators run plants in normal, abnormal and emergency conditions.
  • Develop test procedures supporting commissioning of new plants (like the AP1000) to demonstrate the functionality of components and systems from pre-op testing through startup phases.
  • Validate scenarios in control room simulators before they are used to train reactor operators and implemented in plants worldwide.
  • Work with professionals in the industry who will teach you the technical and professional aspects of working as an operations expert in the nuclear industry.
  • Author operating and test procedures and support the commissioning of new plants worldwide.

Requirements

  • Reactor Operator (RO) or Senior Reactor Operator (SRO) or qualified SRO instructor.
  • 5 + years of experience.
  • Fluent in Technical English.
  • European Union Citizenship or resident with valid work permit.
