About the role

  • Methods Developer developing high-quality methods and software solutions for the nuclear power industry. Collaborating with an experienced team for core monitoring systems and engineering tools in Västerås.

Responsibilities

  • Develop high-quality methods and software solutions for the nuclear power industry.
  • Write clean, efficient, and maintainable methods to be coded using industry-standard languages and frameworks.
  • Contribute to all phases of the methods development lifecycle, including analysis, development, testing, and deployment.
  • Participate in methods and code reviews to ensure quality and maintainability.
  • Communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical team members.

Requirements

  • Master's degree or higher in Reactor Physics, Nuclear Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3 + years of relevant experience.
  • Background with neutronics methods, Lattice codes or nodal core simulators (e.g. Helios, Phoenix5).
  • Programming skills in Fortran and scripting languages such as Python, shell programming.
  • Comfortable working in a Linux environment and are familiar with version control systems such as git.
  • If you also have experience working with high availability system that is meritorious.
