About the role
- Principal Project Engineer supporting the development of AP1000 projects from initiation to completion at Westinghouse. Collaborating with teams and providing technical guidance to ensure project efficiency and cost adherence.
Responsibilities
- Help develop engineering projects, ensuring agreement on goals and industry standards.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams, promoting innovation and best practices.
- Develop and oversee project schedules, budgets, and resources, ensuring timely delivery within scope.
- Collaborate with team members, including clients, vendors, and our teams, to ensure project requirements are met.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory, safety, and quality standards relevant to engineering projects.
- Find and address project risks, implementing proactive solutions to address challenges.
- Conduct technical reviews, feasibility studies, and performance evaluations to improve project execution.
- Promote process improvements and the use of new technologies to enhance project efficiency
Requirements
- Ability to travel internationally to support the Poland Project development
- Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, or related field)
- 10+ years of experience in project engineering/management or equivalent roles of increased responsibilities, with experience leading complex projects
- Knowledge of project management methodologies, engineering principles, and industry regulations
- Proficiency in project management software and engineering tools (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Primavera, and PowerBI)
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or PMP certification helpful
- Prior Westinghouse AP1000 knowledge or project experience helpful
