About the role
- Principal Engineer responsible for engineering delivery on AP1000 projects at Westinghouse. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize design management processes in a hybrid work environment.
Responsibilities
- Monitor the technical execution of the AP1000 engineering schedule, recommend optimizations in design management processes
- Maintain the engineering sections of the delivery plan
- Maintain the standard engineering Division of Responsibilities (DoR) for AP1000 projects, help develop project-specific DoRs
- Together with the project-specific teams, define and maintain the in-country resource development strategies to support future projects
- Support leadership of the international internship program
- Lead main technical teams, providing oversight while delegating work and mentoring team members
- Provide technical guidance, direction, and collaborate with other personnel including partners suppliers, fabricators, and customers
- Identify and define technical challenges, direct efforts to successful resolution
Requirements
- Degree in Engineering, Master's Degree in Engineering or Business
- 8+ years of relevant experience
- Experience in AP1000 plant or new nuclear plant design
- Experience in multiple engineering disciplines and process development/improvement
