About the role

  • Global Instrumentation and Controls Engineer engaging in a rotational program to develop future leaders at Westinghouse. Collaborating across multiple departments to enhance clean energy solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver value across multiple departments and global locations. This involves planning, communication, and teamwork.
  • Identify areas of improvement and use data analysis skills to propose solutions to enhance the efficiency of each rotational department.
  • Develop a foundation of leadership
  • Help develop a system design for I&C systems based on functional requirements, design requirements and regulatory requirements.
  • Help engineer review of system documentation.
  • Support design engineers to develop the hardware and software design of the I&C system.
  • Develop design documents, which may include functional logic diagrams, system design documents, and calculation notes.
  • Support customer offer development for I&C system projects.
  • Develop test plan and procedure documentation; accomplish testing based on project needs.
  • Support Equipment Qualification (EMC, Environmental, Seismic) of an internally developed I&C platform.

Requirements

  • Completion of bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Computer Engineering degree
  • Flexibility to relocate based on the job rotations within the Greater Pittsburgh area (e.g. Cranberry, New Stanton, Warrendale, Etna)
  • Demonstrated leadership
  • Above average academic achievement
  • 1+ years of experience with or knowledge of Labview, C++, Java, Python, object-oriented design, basic TCP/IP networking knowledge, virtualization, embedded software
  • Experience with or knowledge of Printed Circuit Boards, Analog/Digital Circuit Design, FPGA, CPLDs
