About the role

  • Mechanical Engineer performing design and analysis for nuclear power plant components at Westinghouse Electric Company. Evaluating equipment with ASME Code and supporting fabrication processes.

Responsibilities

  • Perform design drawings and calculations
  • Apply the ASME Code to the design and analysis of primary equipment components (Steam generator, PRHR, and Pressurizer, Accumulation Tank, Core-makeup tank)
  • Author deviation and non-conformance reports to support fabricators of Primary Equipment
  • Evaluate nuclear power plant components using Finite Element Analysis (FEA)
  • Support larger generic projects that are developing the industry guidance and requirements for safe long-term operation of nuclear power plant primary equipment components

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA
