About the role

  • Manager of Pipe Supports managing resources and supporting projects for Westinghouse's clean energy solutions. Leading development programs and ensuring safety compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and allocate resources and materials to support customer projects.
  • Report to the Director of BOP Mechanical and Chemical Engineering.
  • Guide the department onboarding and development program.
  • Manage people development activities to ensure transfer and use of critical skills.
  • Develop appropriate training and qualification programs to support ongoing staff development.
  • Provide technical support for product development, project implementation, marketing, and sales.
  • Provide adequately trained and qualified resources to implement standard projects.
  • Assure safety, health and regulatory compliance at Westinghouse sites.
  • Implement personnel performance improvement and skills development process to assure Westinghouse competitiveness.
  • Develop resource deployment plans.
  • Develop both internal and external customer relationships.
  • Ensure the performance of work activities in accordance with established Westinghouse procedures.
  • Ensure that projects are aligned with department and company goals.
  • Engage customers to promote group products and services.
  • Oversee the development of process documentation useful to our company.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering or a related Engineering discipline
  • Minimum 8 years of strong and progressively more responsible leadership experience required
  • 1+ years of experience with negotiations
  • 1+ years of experience with advanced technology products and systems
  • Gather and analyze input, evaluate alternatives, and make decisions.
  • Beneficial: Professional Engineer or P-Eng
  • Knowledge of and experience with Legacy Westinghouse and AP1000
  • Experience managing engineering teams
