Senior Paralegal providing legal support in corporate governance, regulatory licensing, and contract review. Collaborates with attorneys and legal operations team in a hybrid work environment.
Responsibilities
Leads regulatory filings and licensing activities with Departments of Insurance and other regulatory bodies.
Conducts detailed legal research using platforms such as Westlaw, LexisNexis, and regulatory databases.
Reviews, drafts, and edits contracts, NDAs, and other legal agreements.
Prepares legal documents, correspondence, and training materials.
Manages legal intake process for new matters.
Drafts and maintains corporate records, board resolutions, and subsidiary documentation.
Inputs and maintains data in legal systems (e.g., Legal Tracker, SharePoint).
Works closely with a team of 8–10 attorneys and legal operations team.
Assists with legal projects involving compliance, governance, licensing, and contracts.
Requirements
Minimum of 5 years of paralegal experience, preferably in a corporate legal department or law firm or
Minimum of 5 years of experience supporting corporate legal functions in the property & casualty insurance industry.
Bachelor’s degree in paralegal studies or equivalent; Paralegal Certificate from an ABA-accredited program preferred or commensurate experience.
Strong understanding of corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and contract law.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research tools (e.g., Westlaw, LexisNexis).
Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
