About the role

  • Operativer Einkäufer responsible for strategic purchasing and optimizing material supply at WEISS GmbH. Collaborating with suppliers and ensuring efficient stock management.

Responsibilities

  • Requesting quotes, comparing offers and conducting price negotiations in coordination with strategic purchasing
  • Materials planning including order processing for assigned product groups, aiming to maintain as low inventory as possible
  • Ensuring uninterrupted material supply by monitoring and adjusting delivery dates
  • Prioritizing, coordinating and escalating supply shortages and delivery delays
  • Continuously optimizing material planning with respect to processes, automation, efficiency and interface management
  • Strategically managing defined product groups
  • Actively contributing to the development of collaborative supplier relationships
  • Providing export-related documents such as certificates of origin and long-term supplier declarations (LLE), and supporting import processes

Requirements

  • Completed technical vocational training with additional commercial qualification, or a completed commercial apprenticeship with strong technical competence
  • Several years of experience in purchasing is an advantage
  • Independent, structured and self-reliant way of working
  • Proficient in MS Office applications, ideally also SAP S/4HANA
  • A true team player with a solutions- and customer-oriented mindset
  • Occasional willingness to travel
  • Good written and spoken English
