About the role
- Regional Head of Accounting & Tax at Wavestone responsible for financial accounting in DACH and South-Eastern Europe. Leading a team and ensuring compliance with IFRS and local standards.
Responsibilities
- Responsibility for financial accounting in the DACH region as well as Southern and Eastern Europe
- Lead and develop the Accounting & Tax team
- Coordinate the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements under IFRS and local standards
- Point of contact for management as well as external auditors and tax advisors
- Actively shape accounting processes and controls
- Implement global standards as project lead in the region
- Contribute expertise to M&A projects and take responsibility for intra-group restructurings
- Support the rollout of SAP S/4HANA as the ERP solution
Requirements
- Degree in Business, Finance or Accounting
- Qualification as a tax advisor or auditor is a plus
- Experience leading (sub-)projects
- Strong project management skills
- Knowledge of HGB and IFRS with solid accounting expertise
- Proficient in MS Office and open to digital financial tools and applications
- Confident communication skills in German and English, both written and spoken
- Based in or near Nuremberg and willing to be on-site regularly
