About the role

  • Lead BI Architect at Watts Industries managing analytics strategies and driving advanced analytics platforms. Utilizing Power BI and Azure technologies to optimize data solutions across business units.

Responsibilities

  • Define and implement enterprise analytics architecture strategies.
  • Lead the design and optimization of enterprise data models and analytics patterns.
  • Drive the development, standardization, and optimization of enterprise reporting and analytics solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable analytics solutions.
  • Design, document, and catalog enterprise business data domains and definitions.
  • Establish and govern best practices for enterprise reporting, performance optimization, and user access to analytics.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to translate analytical and reporting needs into scalable analytics solutions.
  • Guide the evaluation and adoption of modern analytics technologies.
  • Mentor junior analytics team members on BI architecture and data modeling best practices.
  • Perform responsibilities in alignment with Watts values of Integrity, Accountability, Continuous Improvement, and Transparency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent relevant work experience).
  • Minimum of 14 years of experience in data and analytics architecture, with a strong emphasis on business intelligence, semantic modeling, and enterprise analytics solutions.
  • Deep hands-on expertise with Microsoft Power BI, including semantic models, DAX development, and performance tuning.
  • Strong experience with ERP-centric data modeling and analytics, including SAP S/4HANA or similar ERP environments.
  • Advanced knowledge of dimensional modeling techniques, including Kimball methodologies and star/snowflake schemas.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and analytical query optimization.
  • Proven experience supporting analytics solutions in manufacturing or industrial business environments.
  • Expertise in data modeling methodologies (Kimball and Inmon), data quality management, and metadata management.
  • Working knowledge of data governance, data security, and compliance frameworks.
  • Proven success leading or contributing to large-scale data modernization initiatives or cloud-based analytics transformations.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong problem-solving orientation and ability to navigate complex technical ecosystems.
