About the role
- Part-qualified accountant/accounting technician role at Walkers Global's Dublin office. Handling financial services and corporate accounting responsibilities in a busy client-facing environment.
Responsibilities
- Analyse and reconcile large volumes of spreadsheet data from the collateral manager prior to recording the transactions on the accounting system
- Preparation of the trial balance for a portfolio of Irish, Jersey & Cayman incorporated CLO SPVs, in line with transactional and statutory deadlines
- Completion of routine monthly and quarterly management accounts for a portfolio of CLO SPVs
- Preparation and filing of quarterly regulatory returns to Central Bank of Ireland on a timely basis
- Once appropriate training has been provided, assist with the preparation of iXBRL tagged financial statements
- In time, train and mentor less experienced members of the team on elements of the above workload
Requirements
- Part-qualified accountant/accounting technician with experience in financial services
- A minimum of 2 years' experience in a relevant Trainee Accountant role with a recognised accounting firm or Financial Services company, or Accounting Technician qualification
- CLO experience would be a significant advantage
- Extremely proficient in Microsoft Excel
- A very strong familiarity with Excel formulae such as VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP and SUMIF is essential
- Self-motivation and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- A desire to work in a fast-paced, client-facing environment where delivery of a professional service to both clients and other counterparties is of key importance
- Attention to detail, resourcefulness, strong communication and organisational skills are essential
- An enthusiastic attitude and a willingness to learn will contribute to the success of the candidate.
