Responsibilities
Lead and grow a 15–25 person engineering organization, including managers and individual contributors.
Foster a collaborative, high-performing engineering culture while mentoring team members in technical and professional growth.
Architect and oversee secure, scalable data pipelines and ETL solutions for ingesting and standardizing healthcare data.
Work with industry standards including HL7, FHIR, CCDA, and EDI X12.
Ensure systems comply with HIPAA, HITRUST, and SOC2 requirements.
Lead development of cloud-based data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks) utilizing medallion architecture.
Oversee development of internal and customer-facing applications using modern frameworks such as Angular, React, and TypeScript, with backend services in Java, Python, and Scala.
Support cross-functional teams including data science, product, and business operations.
Partner with enterprise healthcare customers and vendors to integrate complex healthcare data feeds and troubleshoot technical challenges.
Deliver solutions that align with customer workflows and operational needs.
Implement Scrum and SDLC best practices to ensure efficient delivery of high-quality software.
Use tools such as Jira to align engineering output with business objectives.
Drive innovation in AI/ML, healthcare interoperability, and analytics.
Requirements
8+ years of software engineering experience, including 4+ years in leadership roles (Director, Senior Manager, or equivalent)
Strong experience with healthcare data standards including HL7, FHIR, and EDI
Experience building ETL/data integration pipelines using technologies such as Python, PySpark, or Airflow
Background with cloud data platforms such as Snowflake or Redshift and microservices architectures
Experience with modern tech stacks including TypeScript/JavaScript (Angular or React), Java/Scala, Python, and SQL/NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, Cassandra)
Proven ability to lead distributed or hybrid engineering teams
Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
