About the role
- EHOD of M-Pesa Finance overseeing financial strategies and governance at Vodafone in Mozambique. Responsible for compliance, reporting, and internal controls across the finance function.
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic and operational leadership to the Finance function of M-Pesa
- Ensure strong financial governance and compliance with IFRS regulations
- Drive financial strategy, planning, reporting, and risk management
- Lead domains such as accounting, tax, treasury, and FP&A
- Define financial strategies aligned with business objectives
- Deliver accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting
- Oversee cash management and capital allocation
- Drive automation and process optimization within Finance
- Provide financial advice and business partnering support
- Ensure robust risk management frameworks are in place
- Track record in finance transformation and controls
- Lead and develop a multidisciplinary Finance team
Requirements
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business
- 10+ years of progressive senior Finance leadership experience
- Experience with Central Bank dealings and regulatory negotiations
- Background in managing complex corporate groups
- Proven expertise in IFRS reporting, treasury, and taxation
- Strong leadership in fintech or banking sectors
- Excellent stakeholder management skills
- High strategic acumen and analytical skills
- Familiarity with Mozambican legal, commercial, and tax regime
- Fluency in Portuguese and English
