About the role

• Fiber Optic Deployment Engineer supporting network project implementation and construction supervision at VICTUS Networks. Collaborating with teams to enhance fiber optic network performance in Greece.

Responsibilities

• Acting as technical advisor on a construction location for subcontractors
• Ensuring that all materials used and work performed are as per specifications
• Liaising with any subcontractors
• Construction work Management / Supervision
• Inspects construction projects, ensures that a safe construction is maintained, and plans are followed according to our standards
• Performance evaluation process for subcontractors.
• Planning the work and efficiently organizing the plant and site facilities in order to meet agreed deadlines
• Preparing reports as required
• Surveying on-site works
• Technical evaluation
• Resolving any unexpected technical difficulties and other problems that may arise
• Use and maintain the required tools to improve efficiency and communication within teams.

Requirements

• BS/MSC in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or Physics (4-5 year course, with Specialization on Telecom/Electronics/Optics)
• At least 2-5 years’ experience in Fiber Optic Network, in Greece or abroad. It will be useful to have certificate of CFOT (Certified Fiber Optic Technician)
• Prior Knowledge/Experience in other Transmission & Transport areas (such as GPoNx/xWDM//xDSL)
• The ability to effectively communicate both in the English written and spoken word
• Ability to learn new technical knowledge and work in a high-pressure environment
• High proficiency with Microsoft Word, AutoCAD, Excel, Visio, and other Microsoft applications
• An understanding of construction means and methods associated with the Telecom networks and site work related thereto
• Driving license
• Analytical thinking, problem solving & project management skills
• Excellent people skills to establish a good rapport with other teams, suppliers and team’s colleagues
• Awareness of Health and Safety
