About the role

  • Reliability Engineer focused on the dependability and mission success of complex space systems. Involvement includes analyses, collaboration, and adherence to aerospace reliability standards.

Responsibilities

  • Perform Reliability, Availability, and Maintainability (RAM) analyses for space systems and subsystems
  • Develop and maintain Failure Modes, Effects, and Criticality Analysis (FMECA) and Fault Tree Analysis (FTA)
  • Conduct Reliability Growth Testing, Life Data Analysis, and Accelerated Life Testing
  • Generate and review reliability predictions using MIL-HDBK-217, Telcordia, or similar standards
  • Integrate reliability requirements into hardware and software designs
  • Prepare and present reliability reports and metrics to program leadership and stakeholders
  • Ensure compliance with DoD, NASA, and aerospace reliability standards and contractual requirements

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Aerospace, or Systems Engineering (Master's preferred)
  • 5+ years of experience in reliability engineering for aerospace or defense programs
  • Proficiency in reliability tools and software (e.g., Reliance, Windchill Quality Solutions, or equivalent)
  • Strong understanding of MIL-STD-1629, MIL-HDBK-217, and related standards
  • Ability to obtain/maintain a DoD security clearance
