About the role
- Software Engineer at VETRO developing GIS fiber management software for broadband networks. Collaborating on innovative projects within a global engineering team based in Dublin, Ireland.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop features for our web based fiber management platform and enable our customers to design, sell, and manage their next-gen broadband networks.
- Technically challenging GIS-based systems including state of the art tile servers, fiber network models, and interactive maps.
- Web services that extend the VETRO platform to work with other critical systems.
- Support the production systems that serve our global platform by triaging bugs and application performance issues, and periodically participating in on-call rotations.
Requirements
- 3+ years development and shipping cloud-native applications and platform services to production.
- 2+ years experience working with contemporary Javascript frameworks (e.g., Vue, React) or similar.
- 3+ years experience working with large relational datasets.
- Solid understanding of cloud services and their best practices (AWS preferred).
- Ability to break down product requirements into deliverable software.
- Enthusiasm to work on new things and a readiness to jump in and contribute.
