Developing and implementing sales strategies to acquire new business and grow existing government business.
Establishing, growing, and maintaining positive relationships and/or partnerships with internal and external customers.
Building a dedicated sales team who will deliver superior customer experiences.
Driving and tracking team performance to achieve sales goals.
Inspiring individual and team performance through on-going training, development, coaching, recognition, and rewards.
Handling financial, budget, and sales reporting activities.
Presenting at local and state government events.
Requirements
A Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience
Six or more years of relevant work experience
Outside sales or account management experience
Commission-based sales experience
A valid driver’s license.
A Master’s degree (even better if you have this)
Demonstrated experience leading a sales team in a commission-based sales environment (even better if you have this)
A track record of strong sales results (even better if you have this)
Prospecting, funnel management and account management skills (even better if you have this)
Business planning and proposal writing experience (even better if you have this)
Managed competing priorities with tight deadlines in a dynamic environment (even better if you have this)
Demonstrated interpersonal, negotiation, and closing skills (even better if you have this)
