About the role
- Lead SDET responsible for testing applications at Verisk, ensuring quality and delivering robust solutions through manual and automated testing.
Responsibilities
- Accountable for the quality and thoroughness of the application being released
- Perform analysis for the purposes of developing test cases for websites, web applications, and infrastructure
- Responsible for scripting automated User Interface tests, and ensure they are kept accurate and successful
- Execute hands-on manual testing while scripting automated tests to ensure application quality
- Serve as a liaison to business analyst and product owner, providing feedback on application readiness for migrations
Requirements
- Bachelor’s in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience
- 6+ years of experience in software development industry, participating in team environment
- 4+ years of experience in automation tools such as Selenium WebDriver
- Experience in automation testing using Selenium and/or WebDriver with Python or C# or Java
- 4+ years of experience in testing web services such as RESTful API
- Demonstrated excellent communication skills
- Ability to learn and adapt to continuously changing technology
- Familiarity with Atlassian Jira and Confluence as well as Zephyr
- Familiarity with Agile [Scrum]
- Experience in testing non-GUI applications (SQL, Flat Files, XML, etc.)
- Familiarity working in a Continuous Integration atmosphere
- Familiarity with AWS Cloud services / Any Cloud Computing Technologies (nice to have)
- Familiarity with Playwright tool (nice to have)
- Familiarity with GenAI and AI Agents (nice to have)
