About the role

  • Automation Architect defining and driving automation, quality, and test infrastructure strategy for Engineering teams. Working with product teams across major platforms including Windows, Linux, and mobile.

Responsibilities

  • Define and evolve the test automation and quality strategy in partnership with engineering and leadership
  • Standardize and consolidate processes, tools, and frameworks for automated testing, CI/CD, and quality gates that scale across all major platforms
  • Establish, track, and report organizational metrics such as code coverage and test pass rates to measure automation adoption and quality outcomes
  • Develop clear documentation, guidelines, and training to empower teams to independently build and maintain automated tests
  • Architect, build, and maintain reusable, scalable, and robust test frameworks and shared libraries for product teams working across Windows, Linux, MacOS, iOS, Android, and Chrome OS
  • Act as a consultant to developer teams, offering onboarding, troubleshooting, and expert guidance on automation tools and approaches
  • Design, implement, and optimize CI/CD pipeline templates for robust, reliable, and scalable delivery cycles supporting multi-platform development
  • Architect, implement, and maintain scalable test infrastructure including on-premise, virtualized, and cloud environments to support product teams working across multiple platforms

Requirements

  • 10+ years in software engineering, automation engineering, quality assurance, or technical leadership roles
  • Deep knowledge and hands-on experience architecting automation solutions for Windows, Linux, MacOS, iOS, Android, and Chrome OS platforms
  • Demonstrated success developing and scaling automation and CI/CD strategies
  • Expertise in designing maintainable test frameworks, shared libraries, and automation infrastructure
  • Experience with metric collection, reporting dashboards, and implementing quality gates
  • Proficiency in industry-standard CI/CD tools and scripting/programming languages
  • Advocacy for using AI-driven developer tools (e.g., Copilot, automated test generation)
  • Strong background in technical writing, training, and mentoring
  • Effective collaboration, workshop leadership, and consulting skills
  • Experience with cloud, on-prem, and hybrid infrastructure provisioning
  • Experience with automation strategy for technology/language migrations is a plus.
