Responsibilities
- Collect, verify and enter variable payroll components
- Record and monitor sick leave and optimize the tracking and recovery of social security sickness benefit reimbursements (IJSS)
- Review and verify payrolls produced by accounting firms for Spain and Belgium
- Manage and optimize meal voucher arrangements for the three entities
- Monthly review of trial balances and statutory accounts for the Spanish and Belgian subsidiaries
- Reconcile accounts and prepare closing packages
- Optimize closing timelines and improve the quality of period-end closes
- Manage cut-off journal entries
- Collect, verify and process supplier invoices for payment
- Prepare and monitor routine tax filings
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (Bac+3) minimum in Accounting, Finance or Payroll Management
- Proven experience in general accounting
- Ideally complemented by successful payroll experience
- Comfortable working in multi-entity and international environments
- Strong sense of ownership, rigor and attention to detail
- Interest in process improvement, automation and ensuring data reliability
- Solid proficiency in Excel and payroll/management tools (PayFit)
- Ability to liaise with finance, HR and external stakeholders
