About the role
- Senior IT Construction Engineer providing technical support for data center projects in Phoenix and San Antonio. Collaborating on solutions for hardware and software issues while meeting project deadlines.
Responsibilities
- Delivering a professional technical support service to external and internal customers
- Creating solutions to hardware and software problems while working per company policy and predefined SLAs
- Representing the IT department for all construction projects
- Designing and implementing fault-tolerant IT networks
- Designing and building Hypervisors, Windows, and Linux servers
- Maintaining deadlines and communication with Construction Project Managers and General Contractors
- Responding to safety and emergency situations and maintaining a safe work environment
- Providing professional mentorship and specialist advice to the business on systems and project matters
- Collaborating with internal partners to craft technology solutions
Requirements
- Strong technical knowledge covering Windows Server and Desktop, Active Directory, VMWare vSphere/ESX, Office 365, Firewalls, Security, Storage, Backup Technologies, and Networking
- Relevant technical certifications, such as CCNA or VCP certification, are preferred
- Experience working within critically important facilities and/or critical infrastructure is preferred
- Minimum five years of data center or relevant work experience deploying IT services to new construction
- Project management experience is preferred
- Ability to communicate well in both oral and written reports and presentation skills
