Responsibilities
- Development and customization of PLC programs (e.g., Siemens TIA Portal, Step 7, CODESYS) for conveyor systems, baggage handling systems and other automated airport processes
- Performing on-site commissioning (national/international), including functional testing, troubleshooting and optimization
- Support for modernization projects of existing systems (retrofit)
- Close collaboration with project management, electrical design and customer service
- Documentation of software and commissioning processes in accordance with internal standards and customer requirements
- Training and handover to customer personnel
- Support in the technical evaluation of customer requirements and the development of solution concepts during the quotation/tender phase
- Contribution to the preparation of technical content for proposals and presentations
Requirements
- Degree or technician qualification in Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a comparable field
- Several years of experience in PLC programming and commissioning, ideally in conveyor technology or airport infrastructure
- Strong knowledge of Siemens TIA Portal, Step 7 and, where applicable, CODESYS or Beckhoff TwinCAT
- Experience with industrial communication (Profinet, Profibus, ASi Bus, Ethernet/IP)
- Knowledge of visualization systems (e.g., WinCC, SCADA)
- Understanding of safety-related control systems (SIL, safety PLCs)
