About the role
- Finance Process and Workflow Automation Trainee in Vaisala's Giant Leap program. Leading finance automation projects and collaborating with business stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Run a hands-on Finance & Controls process and workflow automation project end-to-end
- Take ownership from analysis through delivery
- Work closely with business and technical stakeholders
- Map the current Finance & Controls workflow and identify automation opportunities
- Co-design the target process with process owners and stakeholders
- Build and deliver a limited-scope automation pilot using RPA or low-code tools
- Deliver one production-ready automation pilot and draft a Finance & Controls Process Automation roadmap
- Identify further automation opportunities and support scaling automation after the internship
Requirements
- Close to graduating from Master’s studies in Finance, Accounting, Industrial Engineering, Business Analytics, Information Systems, or similar discipline
- Basic understanding of finance processes and interest in finance process development and automation
- Relevant experience through studies, case work, thesis work, summer jobs, or trainee roles
- Familiarity with finance workflows such as approvals, reconciliations, reporting, or control-related processes (an advantage)
- Interest in automation and digital workflows improving finance processes from efficiency and quality perspectives
- Ability to structure and document processes clearly, work with data, and collaborate effectively with stakeholders
- Exposure to building small automations or workflows (using Power Automate, UiPath, or similar low-code tools) or strong motivation to learn
