About the role

  • Junior Systems Engineer responsible for the health of Windows Server and core SaaS platforms. Engaging with application teams and managing vendor relations while identifying automation opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and maintain Windows servers
  • Perform OS updates, application upgrades, and coordinate maintenance outages
  • Proactively monitor CPU, memory, and disk space
  • Resolve routine alerts and escalate complex issues
  • Monitor Slack channels and email threads to identify issues
  • Open, track, and manage support tickets with external vendors
  • Provide day-to-day operational support for Google Workspace and Microsoft 365
  • Provide infrastructure support for activities related to new store openings
  • Recognize and flag opportunities for process improvement through automation and AI
  • Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation

Requirements

  • 1–2 years of professional technology experience
  • Functional knowledge of Windows Server, Google Workspace, and Microsoft 365
  • Ability to track multiple moving parts, including vendor tickets, project tasks, and system alerts simultaneously
  • Ability to provide clear, concise updates to technical teams
  • Proven ability to work independently, take initiative on routine maintenance, and follow tasks through to completion without constant supervision.
