About the role

  • Provide financial support and administrative tasks in a major healthcare cooperative system in Brazil. Ensure proper management of accounts payable and receivable operations.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for supporting the finance department, performing moderately complex tasks such as verifying, preparing, and controlling documents for processing accounts payable and receivable
  • Ensure a continuous flow of financial resources in the company's cash management, prioritizing the issuance of invoices and the immediate collection of outstanding amounts to minimize delinquency and late payments
  • Assist in organizing meetings and events, including necessary requests and confirmations
  • Support accounts payable processing by checking, preparing, and sending financial documents for approval, entering items into the system, and issuing payment remittance lists
  • Assist with recording and controlling accounts payable and receivable, providing service to customers and suppliers, clarifying questions, and ensuring correct invoice issuance
  • Monitor and follow up on outstanding receipts and payments, helping to resolve payment issues such as incorrect amounts or inconsistent data
  • Extract statements, perform bank reconciliations, and keep financial spreadsheets up to date
  • Send and receive correspondence and contracts, and manage pending departmental documents
  • Assist in issuing invoices for services, sponsorships, events, reimbursements, and institutional products, and import return files for automatic clearing of items in the system
  • Contribute to negotiating outstanding balances with clients, adjusting amounts, terms, and interest as needed
  • Perform bank reconciliations and monitor outstanding collections, preparing monthly reports on billing status and delinquency control
  • Process the write-off of unreceived amounts in accordance with the current authorization policy
  • Review and update financial spreadsheets

Requirements

  • Completed high school diploma
  • Currently pursuing higher education in Administration, Economics, Accounting, or Engineering is a plus
  • Intermediate level Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Good reading and writing skills
  • Excellent organizational skills, strong verbal and written communication, cordiality, flexibility with changing tasks, ethical conduct, and a willingness to take on challenges and develop a career
