Card Operations Specialist with UMB, handling card operations and support for TSYS Loyalty Platform. Collaborating with various teams to ensure operational efficiency and compliance.
Responsibilities
Serve as primary operational support resource for the TSYS Loyalty Platform (TLP)
Support loyalty program research, monitoring, ticket inquiries and projects
Monitor daily platform activity to ensure transaction accuracy, data integrity, and system performance
Troubleshoot platform issues and coordinate resolution with TSYS and internal technology partners
Perform testing and validation for system enhancements, configuration changes, and vendor releases
Maintain platform documentation, workflows, and operational procedures
Support implementation of new loyalty programs, product enhancements, and platform updates
Execute monthly First Line of Defense (FLOD) control testing in accordance with risk and compliance requirements
Perform assigned operational control procedures and validate adherence to policies and regulatory standards
Document testing results, evidence, and remediation actions
Identify operational risks, control gaps, and process deficiencies and escalate appropriately
Support regulatory exams, audits, and internal reviews by providing documentation and operational insights
Analyze operational data, reports, and trends to identify performance issues and improvement opportunities
Develop operational reporting and dashboards for leadership and stakeholders
Provide support services and administration of the UMB debit and credit card programs including but not limited to loyalty programs, terms and pricing, card features/benefits, payment processing, etc.
Participate in cross-functional projects related to platform migrations, enhancements, and operational improvements
Perform root cause analysis on platform and operational issues and assist with corrective action planning
Serve as liaison between business teams, technology partners, vendors, and risk stakeholders
Communicate operational issues, platform updates, and control findings clearly and professionally
Support internal training and knowledge sharing related to TLP platform processes and controls
Requirements
Bachelors Degree in Business, Finance, Information Systems or related field OR equivalent work experience
At least 5 years of experience in financial services operations, card operation, or platform support specifically with TSYS
Strong understanding of card operations and transaction processing systems
Experience in banking and/or card payments
Working knowledge of operational risk management and control frameworks
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills
High attention to detail with strong documentation and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced operational environment
