About the role
- Finance Assistant managing financial accounting processes including accounts payable and receivable. Supporting management with financial statements and liaising with external parties.
Responsibilities
- Processing accounts receivable and accounts payable
- Supporting management in the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements
- Posting bank statements and cash transactions
- Preparing payment runs
- Fixed asset accounting
- Master data maintenance
- Processing travel expense reports
- Preparing VAT returns (VAT pre-declarations)
- Acting as a point of contact for management, the tax advisor, tax office and banks
- Internal and external correspondence
- Deputising for a colleague in payroll accounting
Requirements
- Completed commercial vocational training (ideally with a qualification in financial accounting) or an equivalent qualification required
- Knowledge of double-entry bookkeeping and SKR03
- Professional experience in financial accounting and, if applicable, in preparing balance sheets (ideally within corporate groups)
- Strong numerical aptitude
- Basic knowledge of tax law
- Independent, reliable, flexible and solution-oriented
- Desirable: experience with Lexware as well as Excel and Word
- Good German language skills, both written and spoken
