Responsibilities
Provide ongoing accounting and management of grants budgets, expenditures, revenues and financial reporting
Assist in managing the financial aspects of grants, including budgeting and tracking expenditures
Ensure compliance and prepare financial reports
Maintain grant budgets, ensuring accurate tracking of expenditures and adherence to grant guidelines
Collaborate with the Director of Grants and Contracts to conduct monthly budget reviews, projections, and goal setting
Perform grant reconciliations and closeout functions
Prepare all adjusting journal entries for inputting into the computerized general ledger program
Act as financial liaison for all subcontractors on assigned grants and contracts
Monitor and analyze budgets and expenses to ensure compliance with policies
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in related field
Minimum of 1 – 2 years directly related experience in grants, accounting/finance, or similar experience required
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with strong Excel knowledge
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects to meet expected deadlines
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Exceptional communications and interpersonal skills
Knowledge of accounting/finance & reporting software, such as Paylocity, Acumatica, etc. is a plus
