About the role
- Physical Therapist providing examinations and treatment for patients, coordinating with interdisciplinary teams. Performing documentation in EHR and ensuring evidence-based care in a clinical setting.
Responsibilities
- Performs comprehensive examination of patients using appropriate tests/measures, completes the evaluation, and formulates an individualized plan of care.
- Provides evidence-based quality patient treatment and education, and monitors patients' physiological status during sessions.
- Responsive to needs/requests outside of direct patient care.
- May include serving as a Clinical Instructor, providing presentations, serving on committees/teams, performing program development/projects, developing educational materials, providing education to coworkers after attending continuing education that was supported by travel or educational leave, etc.
- Consistently meets departmental productivity targets.
- Completes accurate and thorough documentation promptly following regulatory policies.
- Submits accurate and complete charges and daily summary sheets.
- Adheres to UAMS/Department policy for attendance; reports for all scheduled shifts on time and completes shift duties.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy if graduated prior to 2002 OR Master’s degree in Physical Therapy if graduated prior to 2016 OR Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy
- Licensed as a Physical Therapist by the Arkansas State Board of Physical Therapy or eligible for licensure
- Doctorate in Physical Therapy (preferred)
- Experience as a PT in the NICU (preferred)
- Current AHA BLS (must obtain certification within 30 days of starting in this position)
