About the role

  • Senior Project Engineer managing structural engineering projects for buildings in a collaborative team environment. Focus on innovative design solutions and project management in California.

Responsibilities

  • Structural design and analysis for a wide range of buildings projects, involving steel, concrete, masonry, wood, and archaic building systems
  • Assisting in the preparation of drawings and specifications
  • Conducting site investigations to document existing conditions
  • Project Management of staff and clients on large and/or complex projects
  • Support Studio Leaders in managing staff and financials
  • Providing mentoring and guidance to junior staff
  • Maintaining involvement in professional organizations to keep abreast of new industry developments

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering
  • Master’s Degree would be considered an asset
  • P.E. license required; S.E. license would be considered an asset
  • 8-15 years of experience in the execution of residential, commercial, or institutional buildings projects as a Structural Engineer is required
  • Experience in historic buildings preservation would be considered an asset
  • Proficiency with computer analysis software (e.g. RISA, SAP, RAM)
  • Working knowledge of REVIT
