Responsibilities
- support the Florida Turnpike Enterprise (FTE) General Engineering Consultant (GEC) Program
- lead and work on various projects
- Identify and solve complex structural engineering issues
- Ability to review Category 1 structure plans and technical documents
- Coordinate with Central Office and perform District reviews of plans
- Provide input to Department’s Structures Engineer
- Assist in the preparation of Scope of Services and staff hour estimates
- Plan, schedule, and conduct detailed phases of engineering work
- Review all component plans for structural details and coordination
- Coordinate work with other engineers and professionals
Requirements
- B.S. or M.S. in Engineering
- M.S. or graduate level technical coursework preferred
- Engineering with ten years’ experience since B.S. or nine years since M.S.
- 15 to 20 years of experience typically required
- PE License required
- FDOT experience preferred
- Proven organizational, technical writing and communication skills
