About the role

  • Indirect Tax Professional managing end-to-end indirect tax compliance for the Gulf region. Leading strategic tax projects and ensuring e-invoicing compliance across multiple entities in KSA and UAE.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage end-to-end indirect tax compliance, including filing VAT returns for multiple entities across KSA, UAE, Oman, and Bahrain.
  • Manage the full lifecycle of the UAE E-invoicing project and monitor ongoing KSA ZATCA e-invoicing compliance and technical mappings.
  • Oversee the UAE B2B2C transition project, ensuring accurate import VAT controls, P&L splits, and inter-group contract alignments.
  • Act as the primary technical point of contact for tax authorities, external advisors, and internal stakeholders regarding marketplace VAT rules.
  • Manage the Deemed Supplier regime, including monitoring seller VAT registrations and validating B2C invoice records for marketplace liability.
  • Control source data from ERP and reporting systems to ensure accurate statutory reporting and weekly invoicing compliance for all business models.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams (Tech, Finance, Legal) on business expansion projects, contract reviews, and supplier onboarding.
  • Provide day-to-day tax advisory on complex matters such as warehouse operations, customs, marketing compliance, and COD incidents.

Requirements

  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, Law, or a related field; professional tax or accounting certification is highly preferred.
  • Extensive experience in indirect tax (VAT) management, specifically within the GCC region and the e-commerce/marketplace sector.
  • Deep technical knowledge of KSA ZATCA requirements and UAE Federal Tax Authority (FTA) legislations.
  • Proven track record in managing large-scale tax technology projects, including e-invoicing implementations and ERP system integrations.
  • Strong ability to analyze complex tax data and translate legislative changes into operational business requirements.
  • Excellent communication skills in English; proficiency in Arabic is a significant advantage for managing authority relationships.
  • Experience in handling tax audits and responding to complex inquiries from both tax authorities and marketplace sellers.
