About the role

  • Senior Tax Analyst responsible for corporation tax, VAT, and compliance in a growing global tech business. Collaborate with internal teams to enhance tax visibility and processes.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the monthly UK VAT return preparation for the UK
  • Manage non-UK submissions with external advisors
  • Work with the Group Senior Tax Manager and Head of Tax on general ad-hoc tax matters
  • Assist with the implementation of automation to adopt efficient process improvements
  • Assist with the UK corporation tax compliance process
  • Manage outsourced corporate tax compliance activities for non-UK jurisdictions
  • Assist with forecasting relating to the group effective tax rate and tax payments
  • Handle the tax governance platform to ensure group tax deadlines are identified
  • Input on tax governance for the group including maintaining risk registers
  • Work with wider finance team to maintain appropriate tax accruals
  • Complete tracking of the tax budget for external advisors
  • Prepare PAYE Settlement Agreements and monthly accruals

Requirements

  • Experienced in tax (2-3 years), either in industry or practice
  • Strong foundation in VAT
  • Keen to expand their knowledge and skills across all tax heads
  • Ideally qualified or part-qualified accounting/tax professional (ACA, ACCA, CTA etc.)
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
  • Microsoft suite proficient with very good/excellent analytical skills
  • A strong communicator with interpersonal skills and customer service focus
  • Proactive person with hands-on mentality and ability to operate independently
  • Champion of process development and continuous improvement
  • Detail-oriented with ability to communicate findings
  • Confident in overcoming challenges and approaching work with a positive attitude
  • Familiar with working in a fast-paced environment
