About the role
- Analytics Engineer building and evolving Data-Warehouse Platform with dbt and SQL for E-commerce. Collaborating with Data Engineers and Analysts to model data according to Data Vault 2.0.
Responsibilities
- The focus of your role will be building and further developing our data warehouse platform with dbt and SQL for a modern data ecosystem.
- You design models according to Data Vault 2.0 and develop standardized, scalable data models for analyses and reports.
- In your work you apply software development principles such as versioning, testing, and CI/CD.
- In collaboration with our data engineers and data analysts, you build a deep understanding of our e‑commerce data sources.
- You train users on working with data models and reports and support the design of data marts and Power BI datasets.
Requirements
- You have professional experience modeling data structures as a Data Analyst, Data Engineer, Data Scientist, or in a comparable role — ideally following Data Vault.
- You are confident with SQL and have experience with dbt, BigQuery, and workflow management tools (e.g. Airflow).
- You are passionate about data modeling and your strengths include quality awareness, precise work, and strong analytical thinking.
- Your German language skills are at least B2 level and your English at least A2 level.
- Experience with Azure SQL and Power BI is an advantage.
- We would especially welcome prior experience with data structures and processes in e‑commerce.
