About the role
- Analytics Engineer focused on building and developing the Data-Warehouse platform for an e-commerce company. Utilizing dbt and SQL to create scalable data models for analysis and reporting.
Responsibilities
- Build and further develop the data warehouse platform using dbt and SQL
- Model according to Data Vault 2.0 and develop standardized, scalable data models for analyses and reports
- Apply software development principles such as versioning, testing, and CI/CD
- Collaborate with data engineers and data analysts to develop a deep understanding of e-commerce data sources
- Train users on working with data models and reports
- Support the design of data marts and Power BI datasets
Requirements
- You have professional experience as a Data Analyst, Data Engineer, Data Scientist, or in a similar role, including modeling data structures—ideally with Data Vault
- You are proficient in SQL and have experience with dbt, BigQuery, and workflow management tools (e.g., Airflow)
- You are passionate about data modeling and your strengths include quality awareness, attention to detail, and strong analytical skills
- German skills: minimum B2; English skills: minimum A2
- Experience with Azure SQL and Power BI is a plus
- Prior experience with e-commerce data structures and processes is especially welcome
