About the role

• Engineer I role developing Search APIs for TomTom's Location Technology Products. Collaborating on projects to enhance search services with cross-functional teams and solving complex challenges.

Responsibilities

• Participate in complex search-related projects, from initial concept to deployment.
• Contribute to the stability and scalability of the Search services infrastructure.
• Contribute to system optimizations and improving performance to ensure fast and reliable search results.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, to understand requirements and deliver impactful solutions.

Requirements

• Understanding of search algorithms, data structures, and system design principles.
• Good problem-solving skills and a demonstrated ability to tackle complex technical challenges.
• Up to 2 years of professional experience (or none—junior level welcome).
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
• Understanding of distributed systems and scalability challenges.
• Knowledge of RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
