Responsibilities
Observe and collect traffic data
Perform intersection evaluations
Complete traffic and corridor studies
Conduct analyses using simulation and modeling software
Prepare preliminary and final designs
Develop construction plans for traffic signals, lighting, construction staging, maintenance of traffic, and signing/striping
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering
Strong interest in Traffic Engineering
Strong interpersonal skills; Ability to work in a team environment
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Valid Driver's license
BS degree with emphasis in Traffic Engineering or Transportation (Preferred)
Internship or professional experience in traffic study, traffic plan development or related transportation projects (Preferred)
Previous experience or training with AutoCAD and/or Microstation (Preferred)
Prior experience or general working knowledge of traffic analysis software, including Synchro / SimTraffic, VISSIM, RODEL, or CORSIM (Preferred)
