About the role

• Manage the registration and post-registration of food products at Tirolez, Brazil's largest cheese manufacturer. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and maintain quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Strategically manage product registration and post-registration processes by requesting, tracking, and critically reviewing documentation to ensure full compliance with regulatory authority requirements;
• Manage submissions filed with competent authorities, providing additional information and technical interactions as needed;
• Prepare labeling dossiers and lead label review and approval processes, ensuring alignment with current legislation and internal guidelines;
• Develop, review, and maintain operational procedures and workflows for the area, promoting standardization, efficiency, and continuous improvement;
• Draft official letters and formal communications for interaction with regulatory agencies;
• Continuously monitor updates to food legislation, analyze regulatory impacts, and prepare clear, strategic communications for the relevant departments.

Requirements

• Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Food Engineering, Food Science, Dairy Technology, Chemical Engineering, or similar fields.
• Preferred: Postgraduate degree or specialization in food legislation or a related area.
• Preferred: Experience or knowledge in the food industry in regulatory affairs, quality, and/or research & development.
• Preferred: Experience with product exports and FDA regulations.
• Preferred: Knowledge of Quality and Food Safety Management Systems and certification schemes (ISO, FSSC, BRC, etc.).
• Preferred specific knowledge:
• Knowledge of food product and labeling legislation;
• Basic understanding of technological processes for food manufacturing;
• Microsoft Office (intermediate Excel);
• English and Spanish;
• Familiarity with Artificial Intelligence tools;
